Fuel cell technology is not waiting for the automotive market. Production volumes needed to advance fuel cell technology is coming from an unlikely source; The material handling industry. Warehouse operators are pursuing fuel cells to power forklift trucks and Crown Equipment Corporation is here to help. Gone are the battery rooms, replaced with hydrogen refueling stations. Fuel cell battery replacement power packs are now available to be fitted to select models of forklifts. 100 years of lead-acid battery technology can move over, fuel cells are ready to take on the world of materail handling.
