About SAE Dayton:
Who we are
The SAE Dayton Section covers a large geographical area of Southwestern and Central Ohio and Northern Kentucky. Major cities include Dayton, Columbus, Springfield, Cincinnati, Louisville, and Lexington. The Dayton Section has approximately 2300 members, including student members.
We have monthly Section meetings from September to June at the Engineer’s Club in Dayton. These take place on the third Thursday of every month from 11am –12pm, with lunch following. Anyone is welcome at our meetings.
What we are looking for:
Currently, we are looking for people to get involved. Have any ideas of places you’d like to tour or learn more about? Interested in planning a meeting? Interested in helping out with the board? If so, please feel free to contact anyone on our board member page with your ideas. We are always looking for enthusiastic people that are willing to make things happen! We are also looking for volunteers to help out in local schools with the AWIM science programs.
We are always looking for people to be actively involved in Section activities and on our Governing Board. In fact, there are always minor positions open which require minimal effort, and the potential benefits are immeasurable. This experience provides a great way to learn leadership skills in a non-threatening, volunteer environment. We are here to serve our membership and provide for their needs; we hope you are interested in helping too. Please feel free to contact anyone on our Board of Governors to find out how you can be a part of the fun.
